Responsibilities
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, preparing necessary journal entries and reconciliations.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during the annual audit cycle.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial reports to support management decision-making.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting standards and procedures.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
