Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger maintenance and month-end close procedures.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure financial integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights to senior management.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to facilitate annual audits and tax filings.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risk and ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a significant plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
