Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger: Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of journal entries and performing month-end close procedures.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany accounts on a monthly basis.
- Compliance: Ensure the organization remains compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and provide monthly variance analysis to management.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization within the finance department and implement best practices.
- Payroll Support: Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
