Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for key business units
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements while optimizing tax strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial systems and processes
- Conduct internal audits and implement robust internal controls
- Prepare executive-level financial dashboards and analytical reports
- Mentor junior accounting staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with VBA skills
- Proven track record in financial reporting, auditing, and tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Experience in multi-state operations (Ohio/Michigan a plus)
