Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the annual audit process by preparing required schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors.
- Conduct variance analysis and assist the finance team in the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Oversee financial reporting to senior management and the board of directors.
- Implement and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and data integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and budgeting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
