Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization
- Prepare and submit accurate tax returns while ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and budget forecasting
- Develop and implement internal controls to enhance financial integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives
- Maintain accurate financial records using ERP systems (Sage 100 preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in tax preparation and financial analysis
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and NM state tax codes
- Exceptional attention to detail with proven problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex data clearly
