Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end closing processes with journal entries and reconciliations
- Manage complex account reconciliations for multi-entity structures
- Develop financial models and variance analysis for executive leadership
- Coordinate external audit processes and implement audit recommendations
- Maintain robust internal controls documentation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Drive process improvements in financial reporting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in deadline-driven environments
