Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee the daily accounting operations, including the maintenance of the general ledger and ensuring accuracy of financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage cash flow, and ensure timely payment of liabilities while maintaining accurate records.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of local, state, and federal tax filings and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to analyze data and spot discrepancies with high precision.
