Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Assist in the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations, including filing of necessary returns and reports.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Perform variance analysis and budget forecasting to support executive decision-making.
- Supervise and train junior accounting staff and interns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proven experience with financial reporting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
