Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights to senior management.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and assist with year-end audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting processes and operational efficiency.
- Manage fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Proven experience with financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
