Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and account reconciliations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with strict deadlines
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial compliance
- Collaborate with audit teams and respond to regulatory inquiries
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives for multiple divisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting or corporate accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and Illinois state tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage tight deadlines in high-volume environments
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
