Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable/receivable processes for 50+ clients
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures with reconciliations
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for multiple entities
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with auditors during annual financial reviews
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Train junior staff on accounting software and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VLOOKUP/PivotTables)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and state tax codes
- Proven experience managing multi-state compliance requirements
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
- Experience with ERP system implementation and optimization
