Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies.
- Assist in the annual external audit process, coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Support the budget preparation process and provide variance analysis to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and internal controls.
- Oversee intercompany account reconciliations and complex journal entries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- CPA certification is strongly preferred; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate setting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
