Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for 15+ client portfolios
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow optimization
- Implement financial controls and process improvements using SAP and QuickBooks
- Coordinate tax preparation with external CPA firms
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-departmental financial initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA license required
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with DC-based firms
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and financial software
- Deep understanding of federal tax regulations and OMB reporting standards
- Proven experience with multi-state compliance and international transactions
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for presenting complex financial data
