Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 50+ client portfolios including month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance reporting for stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable systems and cash flow optimization
- Lead tax compliance initiatives including sales tax filings and payroll tax audits
- Develop internal controls and process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks Enterprise)
- Coordinate annual audits with external CPA firms and implement audit recommendations
- Mentor junior accountants and provide training on accounting best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting ERP systems
- Proven expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Tax preparation experience with multi-state compliance knowledge
- Strong analytical skills with experience in process optimization
- Excellent communication abilities for presenting financial insights to non-financial teams
- Professional certification (CPA/CMA) required
