Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes
- Prepare and analyse financial statements ensuring adherence to UK GAAP and IFRS standards
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Oversee tax compliance and optimisation strategies for UK and international operations
- Implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Mentor junior accountants and provide technical guidance
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified preferred)
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a UK-based organisation
- Expertise in UK tax regulations and GAAP compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience managing accounting teams and processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
