Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements with detailed variance analysis
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Lead external audit coordination and compliance reporting
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Mentor junior accounting staff
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional qualification
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA certification or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (SAP/Oracle)
- Deep knowledge of UK tax regulations and compliance
- Experience managing teams and complex financial operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
