Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management accounts
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger operations
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and UK accounting standards
- Conduct internal audits and process improvement initiatives
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Manage tax filings and VAT compliance
- Liaise with auditors during external reviews
- Mentor junior accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- ACCA/ACA/CPA qualification or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of UK accounting experience
- Proficiency in Xero, Sage, or SAP accounting systems
- Advanced Excel skills and data visualization capabilities
- Deep understanding of UK tax legislation and GAAP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
