Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare statutory accounts and ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Lead budgeting processes and variance analysis for departmental stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and cash flow forecasting
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (Xero/Sage)
- Mentor junior finance staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent accounting certification
- Minimum 5 years' experience in public practice or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Xero/Sage)
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and statutory reporting
- Proven ability to manage complex financial projects
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
