Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the full cycle of month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and statutory requirements.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and resolve any financial discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end audits and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Support the Finance Director with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) is essential.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role.
- Deep understanding of UK tax legislation, VAT, and HMRC regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
