Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end/year-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP standards
- Lead tax compliance activities including VAT returns and corporation tax filings
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on complex accounting issues
- Collaborate with auditors during external examinations
- Utilize advanced Excel functions and accounting software (Xero/SAP) for reporting
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 5+ years post-qualification experience
- Proven expertise in UK tax legislation and GAAP standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing financial audits and compliance processes
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex information
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from accredited institution
