Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting cycles including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Lead UK tax compliance initiatives and VAT submissions
- Develop and maintain robust financial models for strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using cloud-based accounting platforms
- Conduct internal controls audits and process improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff through virtual knowledge-sharing sessions
- Prepare statutory accounts and regulatory filings
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent professional certification
- 5+ years of UK accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks Online, and Sage
- Expert knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Proven experience managing multi-currency transactions
- Strong analytical skills with data visualization capabilities
- CISA or similar internal control certification preferred
