Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end accounting processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with UK tax legislation and accounting standards.
- Manage general ledger activities and ensure all journal entries are properly recorded and documented.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during the annual review process.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role within the UK.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
