Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with audit preparation
- Develop and implement financial controls to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Lead special projects such as system implementations or process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Experience with multi-state tax filings and regulatory reporting
