Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and file necessary tax returns accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes and provide necessary documentation.
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or ACCA qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all financial reporting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
