Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor management and client billing.
- Assist external auditors during annual audits and prepare necessary schedules and documentation.
- Assist in the budgeting process, providing variance analysis and forecasting support to management.
- Maintain and update internal control procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a significant plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
