Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closings
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports with actionable insights
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and industry-specific accounting standards
- Lead audit preparations and coordinate with external auditors for seamless reviews
- Implement and optimize accounting systems to enhance efficiency and data accuracy
- Mentor junior accountants and provide training on financial processes and software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (Sage 100 experience a plus)
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions and presentations
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
