Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, perform month-end and year-end close procedures, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Assist in the budget preparation process and provide forecasting support to management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during annual audits and tax filings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial auditing principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
