This role offers hybrid work options (3 days in-office) and requires expertise in GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and process optimization. You'll work directly with CFOs and business owners to streamline accounting systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with variance analysis
- Manage general ledger operations and reconcile complex accounts
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow management
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial systems
- Assist in annual audits and tax compliance documentation
- Analyze financial trends to support strategic business decisions
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and IRS regulations
- Proven experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
