Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (NY, NJ, CT focus)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and tax filings with precision
- Conduct payroll audits and reconcile discrepancies monthly
- Support year-end processing (W-2s, 1099s, and 1095-C)
- Implement payroll process improvements using automation tools
- Act as primary payroll liaison for HR and employee inquiries
Qualifications
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent expertise
- Deep knowledge of FLSA, FICA, and state-specific payroll laws
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table proficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience with garnishment processing and tax compliance
- Proven ability to manage confidential payroll data with integrity
- Remote work experience with strong self-management skills
