Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are paid and all receivables are collected.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings and local compliance audits.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures according to GAAP standards.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) to streamline financial operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and federal/state tax regulations in Georgia.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
