Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely filing for corporate and personal taxes.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Perform variance analysis and assist in budget preparation and forecasting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not mandatory).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel (advanced functions required).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, GAAP, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
