Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with tax preparation and ensure timely filing of all required federal, state, and local returns.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts.
- Process payroll and manage employee benefits administration.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and ensure internal controls are followed.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve budgeting processes and forecasting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with high self-discipline.
- Deep understanding of US tax laws and financial reporting standards.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
