Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal policies.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax preparations and filings.
- Process payroll accurately and assist with budget forecasting and variance analysis.
- Maintain organized and secure digital financial records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification preferred).
- 3+ years of professional experience in general accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting.
