Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy by resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring all invoices are processed and payments are made on schedule.
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement in our accounting workflows and implement efficient solutions.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or a related financial role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
