Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Perform internal audits and maintain strict adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions and accounting software to streamline financial workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment with excellent time management.
