Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure all discrepancies are resolved immediately.
- Prepare and maintain the general ledger, including posting journal entries and adjusting entries.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and budgets.
- Process payroll and maintain accurate employee time records and tax filings.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax laws.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) to track financial data and generate reports.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot errors in financial data.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members professionally.
