Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (CA-specific)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and benefits enrollments with 100% accuracy
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare quarterly tax filings
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries within 24 hours
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and terminations
- Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency
- Conduct annual payroll audits for SOX compliance
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience in California
- ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent expertise
- Deep knowledge of CA labor laws (AB 5, meal/rest breaks)
- Proficient in Excel with advanced VLOOKUP functions
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred
- Proven track record of zero payroll errors in audits
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interactions
