Responsibilities
- Process and distribute bi-weekly and monthly payroll for all employees with 100% accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify employee time sheets, leave requests, and tax forms (W-2, I-9) before processing.
- Reconcile payroll accounts, ensuring balances match general ledger entries and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of payroll tax returns and compliance reports with state and federal authorities.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, deductions, and tax information.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all personnel and financial data.
- Collaborate with the HR department to update employee records and compensation structures.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll) and MS Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to detect errors before they impact the bottom line.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
