Responsibilities
- Process Payroll: Accurately calculate and process payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly basis using [Payroll Software Name], ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including tax filings, deductions, and garnishments.
- Employee Inquiries: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions regarding pay stubs, tax forms, and payroll deductions.
- Data Entry: Perform high-volume data entry and verification tasks to ensure data integrity across all HR systems.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of payroll reports for management and audit purposes.
- Compliance: Stay current on changes in labor laws and payroll tax regulations to ensure full compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar accounting role.
- Software Proficiency: Proven experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll) and Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff and management.
- Reliability: Ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
