As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time, handling all payroll-related inquiries with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Calculate and process payroll for all employees on a weekly and bi-weekly basis.
- Verify timesheets, leave requests, and payroll deductions to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and distribute payroll registers, summaries, and reports.
- Assist with payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, tax documents (W-2s/W-4s), and deductions.
- Maintain confidential personnel files and payroll records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- 2+ years of proven experience in payroll processing or a related finance role.
- Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll) is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Deep understanding of payroll tax laws, FLSA regulations, and record-keeping requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
