Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Calculate commissions, overtime, bonuses, and deductions according to company policy.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies or errors immediately.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in the company system (ADP/QuickBooks).
- Prepare and file necessary payroll tax forms and reports to state and federal authorities.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax forms, and deductions.
- Assist with year-end tax reporting and audits as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing.
- Proficient in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff.
