Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using ADP and internal systems.
- Calculate and verify gross pay, deductions, and net pay based on timesheets and authorization forms.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records, including tax forms (W-2, 1099) and personal data.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state labor laws, with a specific focus on California regulations.
- Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports to management and HR departments.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding pay and deductions promptly.
- Assist with year-end tax filings and W-2 distribution processes.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks) is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll tax laws, specifically California state requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for complex calculations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
