Your Key Responsibilities
- Process and distribute payroll on a bi-weekly schedule for over 200 employees.
- Calculate and verify gross pay, deductions, and net pay according to timekeeping records.
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll files, tax records, and employee earnings statements.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and bank statements to ensure financial accuracy.
- Assist with year-end tax filings (W-2s, 1099s) and quarterly reporting requirements.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies, tax forms, and deductions.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to resolve payroll-related issues.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role (1-3 years preferred).
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, or QuickBooks Payroll).
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state payroll tax laws and compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and data management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial data.
