We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Clerk to join our dynamic finance team in Baltimore, MD. This is an urgent hire opportunity for a professional who excels in accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately using ADP and internal systems.
- Calculate wages, deductions, bonuses, and commissions in strict compliance with Maryland and federal labor laws.
- Review and audit timesheets, leave requests, and payroll adjustments for accuracy.
- Maintain confidential payroll records and ensure data security.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare monthly payroll reports for management.
- Answer employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax forms (W-2s, 1099s), and payroll policies.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff and management.
