Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accurate calculations of gross pay, deductions, and net pay.
- Review and audit timecards, timesheets, and leave requests to resolve discrepancies before processing.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive employee data.
- Prepare and distribute year-end tax forms (W-2s) and other payroll-related statements in accordance with IRS regulations.
- Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding payroll questions, pay stubs, and tax deductions.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly payroll reports for management and external auditors.
- Collaborate with the HR team to update employee payroll information, such as direct deposit and tax withholding changes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar administrative role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and advanced experience with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or Ceridian).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors quickly.
- Working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws (FLSA) and payroll tax regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
