Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using ADP and/or QuickBooks, ensuring 100% accuracy.
  • Compile and verify timecards, timesheets, and leave requests to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and tax filings in accordance with IRS and Texas state regulations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax documents (W-2s, 1099s), and payroll deductions.
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, including garnishments, deductions, and tax liabilities.
  • Assist with year-end tax processing and the preparation of year-end tax packets.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to update employee information and maintain payroll master files.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or Sage) is highly desired.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) is mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial data with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
