Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for all employees using ADP or QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy in gross pay, deductions, and net pay.
- Verify and input time sheets, leave requests, and overtime hours with strict attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, tax filings, and employee files in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management, HR, and finance departments.
- Handle incoming employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, direct deposits, tax forms, and payroll discrepancies.
- Assist with year-end payroll processing, W-2 preparation, and tax reconciliation.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar administrative role (1-3 years preferred).
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks) is highly desired.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for data entry and reporting.
- Deep understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations, specifically Colorado labor laws.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with strict confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.
