Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
- Review and verify timekeeping data, timesheets, and leave requests for accuracy.
- Calculate commissions, bonuses, and deductions to ensure correct net pay.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare monthly payroll reports for management.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax forms, and payroll policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal (FICA, FLSA) and state (TN) tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end tax documents (W-2s) and 1099s.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect and correct errors.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and management effectively.
- Knowledge of relevant labor laws and payroll tax regulations.
