Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using ADP or Paychex systems.
- Calculate overtime, commissions, bonuses, and deductions accurately based on timekeeping records.
- Prepare and file state and federal payroll tax reports (Form 941, W-2s, 1099s) in a timely manner.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, garnishments, and tax levies promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, employee files, and general ledger postings.
- Assist with year-end payroll audits and year-to-date (YTD) balance inquiries from employees.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar finance role.
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or Workday) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including FLSA and California-specific regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with the utmost confidentiality.
